King Salmon

Gillnet caught, Alaska

Let's honor this delicious fish for the final time this year! This will be the last wild-caught salmon of the year, though we will have sustainably farmed salmon until the season opens again next year.

King salmon is the largest and fattiest, and it is considered to be the most flavorful. It is the highest of all the salmons in omega-3s, and its high natural oil content gives its meat an especially rich taste. It is equally good baked low and slow, sautéed, poached, and grilled. Seafood Watch rates it a "Good Alternative." Low mercury level. Kosher.

Swordfish

Line caught, US

The last time we had Swordfish was in February (pre-pandemic). High time we feature it again.

Swordfish shows off its most distinctive characteristic—its meaty, almost steak-like texture—when it is grilled. But however you cook it, it's awesome! Plus, it's an excellent gateway fish for those who need convincing that seafood is a delicious (not to mention healthy) alternative protein!

The swordfish we are offering is line-caught and MSC certified. Swordfish can be baked, broiled, grilled, sautéed, or smoked. Seafood Watch rates it a "Good Alternative.” Higher mercury level.
