Loch Duart Salmon

Marine net pens, Scotland

For those of you who will be featuring salmon on your Thanksgiving table, we are offering Loch Duart Salmon, a premium Scottish farmed salmon (if you are interested in a whole salmon—about 8 lbs, roughly $88.00—let us know). Loch Duart supplies an award-winning fish that has been served to royalty and at such high-end restaurants as the French Laundry. Chefs and others claim that it tastes more like wild salmon than any of the other farmed salmons. Loch Duart salmon live in the cold, clear waters of northern Scotland in a ratio of 98.5% water to 1.5% fish stock. This means that these fish are active, lean, and healthy.

Especially if you are a "never-farmed" believer, please give this fish a try! Seafood Watch rates it a "Good Alternative." Low mercury level. Kosher.
